Believe it only applies to walk-up.

Completely in their right to do so based on seniority but it doesn't stop from hurting.....especially when they wouldn't of have had that option without the merger. What did we get out of the deal? DTW and MSP.....SWEET!

It cuts both ways. I was fine with they way things were before the merger was announced, I was happy, living in base, flying an airplane i liked, now my airplane is getting shipped off to SLC, and I will probably get to commute to JFK, I am dealing with it, so should you.

I would also like to add that a vast majority of DAL-s folks I have met have been warm and welcoming, it is just the unhappy vocal minority (mostly junior) crying about they got the shaft at the hands of DAL-N pilots. If you wanted a life plan and stablitity, your in the wrong profession.

What is the best source of information on the whole AE/VD/MD process for us old NW guys. I am sure it is in the PWA but was hoping that there may be a source I might be able to understand. If anyone wants to give it a shot here it would be appreciated. Thanks

I am not crying about getting the shaft....just trying to make a point. How do you know your airplane is getting shipped off to SLC? There is nothing official yet. And I get what you are saying, only point I am trying to make is that I can bet whatever amount of money you want, that there will be more DAL-N guys moving into DAL-S bases than the other way around. That's it.
I understand this will be good for us in the long run, just not now for a few of us.

Chente,

Noticed you just joined us on here recently. Welcome. :)

I think guys(both DAL-N & DAL-S) are getting defensive with you because those of us who have been on this board for a while have been through your point over & over & over. We do understand your point, & it does stink. It's not that we aren't sympathetic, it's just that we are all working hard to avoid a UsAir/America West Debacle. We don't want endless bickering. We want for everyone to move on(not implying that you aren't) so we can work together and truly make the Best Global Airline.

Cheers. :)

Let's get together for a group hug, fellas. Without each other, we would be enduring some pretty significant furloughs right now, and a lot of us would be based at home looking for a job....

By the way, home prices are up. Let's keep the good news rolling along.

Nice attitude. Pretty easy sitting behind your computer monitor. Do us a favor and leave it at home with your family.

Thanks for the welcome Johnso29. Yeah I understand, I'm not trying to come off being mad or pi$$ed off at the situation, just expressing my opinions and thoughts on it. I apologize if this has been talked about extensively but for me, being new on here, it's all new. I have accepted this merger, understand where I stand with it, and am in no way complaining or mad at it....like I said, I have accepted it and understand that it's going to be great for us in the long run which makes me happy.
Thanks again for the welcome:)
