The AWI is just that. It's reminds us to level off. There's no auto level off with the AP. The only way to control pitch with the AP engaged is the vertical speed wheel just to the left of the FO's hand, or the IAS/MACH Hold mode. And as a bonus, the equipment type is /W. No RNAV. |

Did anyone notice an increase in the taxes collected for international travel? I just listed for a flight from AMM to JFK and I was prompted if I wanted the Taxes of $59.00 to be payroll deducted. I never had that issue before travelling the same route. The taxes usually are around $17. Any help would be appreciated.

I had a similar experience on a recent trip to MUC and noticed the Tax increase as well.

Does anyone have any experience with a LG Dare phone? I have Verizon and am due for an update. I'd love an iPhone but don't want to switch providers. At the same time, I'd like something that will get me on the Internet to check flight schedules, news. I'd also like access to Deltanet, Travelnet and DBMS.
They're running a special on the Dare, but I don't know if it will do those things. I'm pretty much a neophyte when it comes to smart phones. BTW, I don't care about watching movies, listening to music or playing games on it. Internet access is what I'm looking for. I'd also take suggestions for other phones. Keep in mind I'm not looking to switch providers. Thanks. |
The LG Dare and Blackberry Storm are decent alternatives from Verizon. I tested both of them about 2 months ago. The online browsing was good, you just have to get used to their menus. They both do almost everything that the iPhone does so you should have no problem going online to check schedules, etc..
