Thanks for the link, BB.

Of course, I was looking for that info on the Travelnet site. Gee, what was I thinking?

I'm convinced that the people who manage Deltanet/Travelnet are the same people who designed and organized our manuals.

Sorry, back to the phone thing. I just got a Storm, but can't seem to access DeltaNet. I can get on almost any other website except that one. Anyone know of a browser setting I'm missing?

I was able to talk the wife into 'smart' phones partly by telling her I wouldn't tie up the home computer so much with work stuff, but can't seem to do it. I get the log in screen, but it just stops after that.

BTW, we get a great discount with Verizon. 25% off of accessories, not including phones, and 20% off monthly plans.

Travelnet lists OO higher than Delta, based on DOH. What gives?

On the standbylist it lists everyone no matter what carrier (DL/DCI) they are employed at, by DOH. The system will sort it out by DOH and stnadby priority on the Airport Standby List. I like this new upgrade! You have a better feeling as to where you will be on the Airport Standby List. Of course HK's always throw a wrench in the list or since Delta was fined, they've been giving oversell cutomers confirmed seats when they get rebooked. You won't see those on the cleared list either. I had a log discussion with one of the SLC agents when I was stuck a couple of weeks ago. That's why when you check a flight the night before you see 30 seats, but when you check in in the morning it's -7. If you don't have many HK, HK1, or B1's then those seats went to rebooked oversell passengers.

I don't know what DAL-N you have been flying at, but in 10 years at DAL-N, the only time a Capt has done the walk around was when it was a last minute schedule change and the aircraft was boarded and had been sitting at the gate ready to go minus the FO (me) for about 30 minutes. That Capt did the walk around (and everything else) so the jet could push as soon as I arrived. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, the first ride on OE (for each A/C type) the Capt did the walk around too. That has been on the 727, 9, and Bus. Most of the Capts I fly with have said they don't plan to start walk arounds after SOC either. You must be flying with the new kinder, gentler DAL-N Capts.;)

Sounds like he has the right idea, only problem is that he will face stiff competition from WN , DL, AAI and UAUA.

I agree with moving the 319 to the MKE markets. That 190 though a nice jet will drive passengers to WN so fast it will make your head swim. They offer a decent produce and MEH is an awesome airline. I fly them a lot and will attest to the fact that something is lost when it is done on a 170 versus the 717.

I guess they are the newer, kinder DAL-N CA's. :D

It doesn't happen all the time, but I think a lot of guys on the -9 are feeling guilty for all the work the FOs are doing. I think some are even feeling somewhat useless, & therefore have offered to do the walk when they're on the way to ops anyway. Of course, it'll stop soon because winter is on it's way. ;)

I have had quite a few get the walk around lately also, even in the rain.

no, i bought a Glock 27 through the pilot discount program and I'm having problems with it jamming. I broke it down, cleaned it, inspected it and cant figure out the problem. Its not but a few months old so it shouldnt have any problems anyway. I also have a Glock 23 and I've never had a single problem with it so i dont know whats up with this 27. I called Glock and they said send it in and they'd take care of it.

I always thought the pilot discount was just for FFDO H&K USP .40, what type of coin did the G27 set you back? I own a G27 and have never had a problem, great gun. Did you try using different types of ammo?
