Remember how senior the 727 NY Shuttle out of BOS went? Super Senior! Show up at 7am, fly 4-6 quick legs to LGA, go home. It was even more senior for the F/A's! Everybody loved flying the Shuttle.
I loved commuting on it, Free Sam Adams!

If you sat near the fwd galley, you could easily score two on a 45 minute leg, one when they pulled the carts out, another 20 minutes later when they put them away.

I remember being the 2nd youngest member of crew on the BOS/CVG/LAX flights..... no dates there, holding yarn at the beach maybe......
Don't fall into that age group, but I guess you missed the part about seniority. I like having junior and senior equipment. You have choices....QOL or money. Very few of us can have both. I just wouldn't want to be forced into flying DKR and the like. My preference is domestic. Done enough INTL flying and want it to be my choice. Would you bid domestic if LBP happened tomorrow? My guess is you would along with many others WB capts.
Here's another flaw in your argument. I am getting that paycheck now.. and flying those same kind of domestic trips. Soooooo how would I benefit again?

You sound like a patronizing management/union stooge.
"Good things on the horizon?" Isn't that what you said 5 years ago?

Our management team really wants 10bil in debt and a super strong year to get DL on the S&P 500 and have put off a lot of expenses to get us there (wonder why the board put off hiring-duh). There are growth airplanes that are going to start showing up in 2015, AA/US will route rationalize sometime in 2014 creating limited growth opportunities. Fuel will continue to trend downward and when do we exchange openers ?
We're paid to provide our experience and expertise to safely fly planes. And we're not being paid enough to do that. I don't give a sh!t about Delta being listed on the S&P 500. Why do you?
Profits are at an all-time high. Our compensation is not. That's a problem, don't you think?
But hey, maybe Delta will be on the S&P 500 next year. Woo hoo. Please tell me how that will help pay for my kid's braces.

"we'll get 'em next time."
we were in a great "position to negotiate" for C2012 and we pi$$ed it away on a concessionary contract.
why on earth would we expect different results next time? what has changed at ALPA and/or the pilot group that would lead us to believe we're capable of negotiating meaningful improvements?
Never been in management never been involved in any way other than dues with the union. I love your positive posts but your ALPA bashing gets old as do your personal attacks. I enjoy reading intelligent "where ALPA has failed "posts, Carl comes to mind, but your unintelligent drivel is really boring. I'm sure in real life you're a good guy but you really are an a$$ behind a keyboard.
