Bypass-furlough pilots will return as part of "recall" classes before any of those new-hire pilot classes. Up to 203 possible.
Haha I thought I was the only one learning new things on here. I'm a new man now, thanks to you all.

I couldn't remember who made that initial suggestion, but I wanted to thank the original poster.
Air Tran 426 ATL-MDW diverted to CHA. I was flying SDF - CAE (Grumman Cheetah) and also diverted to CHA due to the weather. The first time I saw a super cell airborne. From the FBO we could see the 717 parked across the ramp. Radome gone, shattered cockpit glass - very humbling.
Quite a memorable day. Blue Angels were also on the ramp for the weekend's show, Rene the FBO CSR, and of course, CHA is the home of Krystals.

Witnessed a nonrev story today.
Family of 4 nonrevs get on. Dad gets a seat in first class. Mom and kids are stuck in coach. Turns out that we are short one seat in coach. Mom and kids will have to get off. Dad remains on and enjoys his first class seat leaving his young family at the airport. What do you think he will get for Father's day?

Furlough bypass pilots have spots in the first classes, then once "off the street" hiring begins, the remaining MSA flows (9/month, less than 75 remaining to flow...Help MESABA??!)and pre-divestiture CPZ pilots (20/month with a rolling 12 month cap, roughly 400+/-) are placed in classes. The remaining seats available are then filled with a ratio of eligible PCL SSP hires (max of 12 per month or 1/3 of remaining new hire seats, whichever is less), and then "off the street" hires.
All schedules are adjusted by slots required to place FUR BYP pilots in first classes (max 203), but likely 1/3-1/2 will return.
So say Delta runs 2 classes a month at 50 per class: total 100/mo
Jan-Feb: 200 FUR BYP
Mar-July 2014
3 FUR BYP (Mar only)
20 CPZ
9. MSA
12 PCL
56 Off the street (59 Apr-July)
Aug 2014 (maybe earlier)
9. MSA
12 PCL
79 off the street
Sept 2014-Feb 2015
12 PCL
88 off the street
