Well, it kinda is.

This board is suffering the equivalent of a "slow news day." What's the Latest and Greatest? Eh' reliable and safe transportation of people by polite happy employees using old, but well maintained, tools while slowly outsourcing work to lower cost service providers ... in other words ... nothing all that exciting.

This thread is little more than a pity party with a self congratulatory circle jerk of a dozen or so members who convince eachother how unfair the world is and then can't figure out why the majority of the people they fly with are relatively happy pilots who just want to work safely and go home to their families and not spend all their time off whining about the job.
You're here reading it.

Why?

Hopefully all that will turn around soon.
The unholy trinity of web board posting mostly committed ceremonial hari kari when their candidate for MEC Chairman was outmaneuvered. Keeping with tradition, the less noise made the better ... Slowplay's data was a political tool, used for a political purpose. It cost money and took effort. That purpose may not be existent at the moment.

Slowplay is not overwhelmed with negativity as a result of the web board. He saw what was coming and had a hand in crafting it. His skill set is still called upon. He's just not spending time here. Frankly, it is unlikely he cares what those on this board think.

The FAs also don't tell people in international overseas business class, when they ask if they can have the after-dinner fruit/cheese/ice cream a bit later in an hour or so, "It won't be there in an hour, we're going to eat it."
Was she joking/T.I.C.???

Ugh....

Nope, absolutely not. As a jumpseater I kept my mouth shut but the guy thought she was joking because he kind of chuckled and smiled, and she stood there waiting for him to answer again, do you want your cheese and fruit now, or not. i.e. no joke, we're going to eat all of it right after we clean up.

The only thing I think you can do is look at the individual rotations and add up each TAFB total.

Different sources in Ops and network provide the following:
Both a aircraft order and request to hire pilots will be presented at the next board meeting.
Network source says 90% chance it is 10ish 330s and 30ish 321. Says Boeing could still make a last minute proposal which might change things.
Hiring should be for roughly 400 additional bodies in 2014. New hires would be 400-recalls. Still saying classes to begin late fall.
Confirmation will be late July or early August. AE will quickly follow board's decision.
