Thoughts on merging with Alaska after they vote in this TA?

Oh, and as part of that streak- I did a "dinner and a movie" (well, no movie on fifi, so "dinner and play angry birds on my ipad") today. CA 1 was on his 3rd GS, CA 2 was on his 5th, and the other FO was on his 2nd.

Looks like you boys are overstaffed on the BUS in ATL, get ready for displacement. (Sarcasm)

Nah...DAL will just right size the fleet with a cut in capacity. They will cut A320 capacities around ATL ensuring their manning numbers are legit.

IMO...it may or may not be a good business deal for RA and DAL. It would ruin the careers for the bottom 2000 pilots on the DAL seniority list.

I think the scope clause would be something they'd salivate over and we'd merge and be forced to accept or compromise on like CAL/UAL.

I am pretty ignorant to their exact scope language but it seems like they have sold their souls to the devil over "99-100" seaters.

Only 3 days next month with adequate reserve coverage. It's bringing back memories of my regional days where every single swap is denied.

No kidding. I was supposed to have a CHS turn in the morning, too. Thank goodness we were late and I ended up illegal for it by about a minute.

No good deal must go unpunished, though.... short call instead assigned in the morning. I'm assuming I'll get something.

How does this work?
Say you're a REG pilot in June going to RES in July. Say you're off July 1-2nd. If you get a 2-day GS over those two days, does that GS get split between being a 1 day GS in June and a 1 day GS in July? Or is it all in June?

As one of the many lazy 777 pilot I take exception to your thoughts above. I have never, ever heard a single other lazy 777 pilot talk about going to LGP. It is the talk of a few other pilots who cannot hold the 777, and never will before they turn 65, or who can hold it but don't want to commute to it, but they want the top pay based on their years of service. Delta has too few of the highest paying seats at the top of the pyramid, that's why LGP would help the many that won't ever be able to hold the top paying equipment, but will have 25-35 years of service, stuck on the 737 (once we park all those old 757's).

In my case, unless they re-open MIA, MCO or BOS, I'll be commuting to ATL for the rest of my life anyway, so it would do me no good. I might like to fly to other destinations, ie. the Caribe, on the 737, 757, or what ever (no more Mad Dog though, been there, done that, got the emotional scars to prove it!) but until LGP comes into effect, I'll be the laziest 777 pilot I can be.

Oh, I'm in Hong Kong at the moment, I had to fly a 3:45 leg down here from NRT last night and it was murder! No breaks, and only one meal! I gotta get off this thing, it's killing me, I had to make two landings in June!
