They are sure paying for it in the ATL320 category. A sizable portion of the captains will be well north of 300,000 this year. I've already made more this year in 6 months than my entire last 12 months as an RJ captain.
The seniority list just keeps on shrinking, I moved another 15 numbers up for July. 604 pilots have left the list since Sept 2010.

first of all, don't call in sick unless youre sick. are you sick if you get hit by a car? no. you're injured, which is not the same as being sick.

don't be a thief.

What if I was going home because I was sick, then I was hit on my way to my car? Would I call in well once my illness was gone? Even if I was still in a cast?

Moving up a few numbers on the list is meaningless without hiring underneath to change your percentage. I know you know this but I just felt like voicing my current displeasure about the lack of hiring.

Five years and at the end of the lease DL owns the airplanes, kind of like 'tote the note'

I thought I heard RA say in one of his weekly addresses that we'll own them after 7 years.

Elvis, you might be right, I've heard 5 and 7, the 5 coming from a 4th floor type.

Me too. It is really depressing when I realize I'll hit mandatory retirement before I reach my new hire seniority number again. Also wondering when I'll reach my pre-merger seniority percentage again. On a good note, I'm back in the 4 digit range.
