Is this what you wanted? You've gotta be smarter than the bulletin board.

Just got a phone call from voice response and did not answer. Checked open time for Atl m88a and 21 open trips for the 3rd and 5 available. Someone failed on the staffing. Que PG in 3, 2, 1....to tell us that it must be sick leave abuse, not a staffing issue and how much joy he is having as the new company attendance czar

YES! Thanks and yes, I'm not as smart as the bulletin board.

I was rerouted twice today due to a shortfall in the ATL M88B category. When you look at reserves required and available, it's typically around 50/25 about 5 days out, ten 55/0 the day or two prior. The 717 transition has drawn a lot of pilots out and leadership has failed to appropriately plan ahead for the summer schedule.

17 green slips awarded so far today & still counting. This is a weekday and the beginning of the month too!

This back up and shortage was hard to foresee, I feel bad for the company.

Someone smarter than I made the point that a reroute greater than two hours out should go to a reserve and should be premium pay if assigned to a pilot on a rotation, if the system were fair.

The way the system is, a computer seeks to optimize manning available.

Resolution passed in LEC44 pushing requested improvements up to the MEC level for consideration at the appropriate committee level.

Has anyone gotten any word yet on furlough recall numbers accepting, from anyone in the know?

Trying to figure out when this shoe will drop:
Letters went out beginning Jul 15 via overnight, so say Jul 17. They have 30 days to respond yes or no, or be terminated on day 31. So the first responses must be in NLT 17Aug. If they send out the letters to all 200 furlough bypass within 15 days, which they should since they're short 250ish 717 pilots, then we should expect to know for sure how many are coming back and how many said no or didn't respond in time by about 1 Sep.

While I have to say I'm happy all the furlough bypass guys will have a chance to come back, and I'll be happy to have them here if they choose to return... I'm sure hoping that most of them have found wonderful and satisfying employment elsewhere and choose not to return! In a comradely hoping for the best for the bottom of our list way, you understand

I'm still banking on 105 MAX returning. I've heard around 80 so far.
