That's what my good buddy told me. If history is any indicator theres a possibility of an assessment in addition to the DPA pre-section 6/merger dues bump up to 2.25% like the merger and furlough assesments we pay now. I don't expect an SLI do-over in spite of the strange wording in the consitution.

youll see Airbus got product placement as did AMR. I didnt realize it but its not Pixar? Didn't Pixar get bought out by disney(?) some years ago? Maybe the name has disappeared in the corporate shuffle. |

Last week, we reported that Pixar was possibly getting into the direct-to-video business by spin-offing Cars into a home entertainment moviehttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png called Planes. While the success of Cars made a spin-off seem like a reasonable business decision, Bleeding Cool reports that Pixar is not actively working on the movie. The dues rate shall be 1.75% upon initial certification by the National Mediation Board. On January 1st of the second full fiscal year following initial certification, the dues rate shall drop annually by 0.25% every year until reaching a minimum dues rate of 1%. Special Circumstance Exception: Six (6) months prior to the amendable date of the Pilot Working Agreement, or upon early opening of negotiations if greater than six (6) months prior to the amendable date, or upon notification of a possible bankruptcy or merger initiated by the Company, the dues rate will temporarily increase by 0.5% until the new contract is ratified, or bankruptcy proceedings or merger integration is complete. Upon completion, all expenses for the Special Circumstance will be fully accounted for and any remaining funds and any accrued interest from the 0.5% temporary increase will be refunded to the membership on a pro rata basis. |

Oh and have there been any paintings done on chairmen? I thought they got a "resolution of appreciation". |

Steve Jobs and John Lasseter were the money, leadership and a big part the creative force behind Pixar. Jobs actually made a lot more money from Pixar than Apple. When Pixar was acquired by Disney, Mr. Lasseter was asked to oversee (creative direct and manage) the whole animation enterprise. He still manages Pixar as well. This just happens to be a Disney animation effort, like Tangled was. I have liked his work on the Disney side as well, if not better, than his work at Pixar. This will make tons of money in merchandising too. |
