The agreement with Compass calls for 20 a month, to a maximum of 1/4 of our list in any 12 month rolling period (something like 110/yr last I checked).

Question for anyone--Is there any way these would be given to Virgin Atlantic?

We recently read about how Delta ordered $1.2B worth of airplanes...but not flown by Delta pilots. Color me skeptical that this widebody order is growth vs. replacement or outsourced lift.

That's the low end of the list. Look what happened at the very top.
Like Timbo pointed out, some of those ATL767As who got "closed" were mega-senior.

Some big MD hits were absorbed by some of our most senior widebody captains.

Guys got bumped off the 777 and the big bus and the 765.

Here's the good news for us bottom feeders--
Wouldn't surprise me a bit to see a few of those boys decide to retire rather than sit in the schoolhouse this summer.

That would be awesome news! Combine that with all of the angst up in MSP. Maybe the carnage will convince some old timers to ride off into the sunset.:)

I can't think of any possible way that would be the case. Although I'm sure you and hockeypilot can. ;)

I'd say with about 99% certainty these are for us. (nothing is ever 100%)

I wouldn't want to go to school on a new jet at age 60+

What a pain in the ***.

Neither would I but then again....I don't want to have to work when I am 65 either. I fly with a 63 year old. He is indeed a frequent flyer when it comes to calling in sick. He is absolutely the most miserable human being ever hired by NWA (now DAL). After 2 days he had me ready to hang myself in the layover closet. Thank god I don't know how to make a noose.

Be better for them to negotiate as Virgin and use the ExIm bank zero interest debt from the US government than for DAL to buy them.

DTW 73NB -- I'm only counting 45 awarded, and the AE said there were supposed to be 55?
Anyone have any ideas on that? That's 10 MORE positions we didn't get for FOs on this AE. Along with the 20 or so 717B that weren't filled, that's 30 more folks stagnation than this AE said we should have had, ie 30 folks less positive movement.
