Lets look at his schedule... he's flown 7 of the last 12 days with also one day of .MIL leave in there (and 1 more mil leave day to come) to get to bucket 2. I don't know if the future MIL leave affects the raw. But I'm pretty sure that day of MIL leave he's had adds to the raw score.

So, I think the point is that it takes 8 days of "work" to get into bucket 2 while people two other people in bucket 1 have 15:00 of flying and 0:00.

Well how many days did it take him to get those hours? If he's in bucket two then the answer most likely is 7 days plus a day of SC.

And now I see the post just prior to mine. So even 7 days of flying & 1 day of SC weren't enough to get to bucket 2; required a MIL day on top of it.

Let's see we closed MSY, BOS, MCO, PDX, MEM, ORD, DFW and gutted CVG. Yeah if you want to live in ATL you will probably be safe from commuting but for a good many of us it was not really a choice.

Fixed it for you. ;)

And if you are on the 777 in ATL, you may end up commuting to DTW or LAX, or both!

And...to save you some time looking for Sept. bid awards, I just checked via the back door, nothing yet (Sept. 2012 bids are still there though, if you'd like to see your old seniority number or what you used to hold!!).

I thought PERKS was a way to get discounts? I just checked a car rental for 2 days in FL, $88.51 with the discount and $83.48 without our awesome benefit!!

iaflyer,

You are making my point. He worked 7 days and now he is at the back of the list. Now the guy with 15:00 will go out ahead of him the rest of the month or until he also gets onto bucket 2. If the senior guys never reach bucket 2 our guy is at the back of the list for the rest of the month after only working 7 days.

Now I will agree that the separate S/C bucket issue is not optimal and needs to be improved but I personally don't see 7 days and less than 33 block hours as being unfair to get to bucket 2 especially if it get you to the back of the list for the rest of the month.
