3 plus years of campaigning, barely any money, and still haven't approached the NMB? I don't think that qualifies as bailing like rats off the titanic.

Barely any campaigning, barely any money, and almost half the list ready to bail? You got it backwards. ALPA is the best advertisement for DPA.

This just in from USA Today:

Alabama is voted #1 in the preseason coaches football poll... Are you ready for some football? I am.

I saw the thing where the ACC officiating head or some official said under the new rules Clowneys game changing mega hit and fumble recovery against Michigan would now be a 15 yard personal foul and automatic ejection of Clowney.

Get ready for the end of football as you know it. Those lawsuits have a very political nfl petrified and it will trickle down. I've flown with one Captain whose son had to be taken out of school thanks to a JV coach sending him back in for a double concussion. imagine what lawyers will uncover with cfb with coaches gray shirting and one year performance based scholarships
that probably encourages mid level players to play injured.

Excellent news. The less that come in above us '10 hires the better. Would rather see names enter the list after me. Oh yeah first month in quite a few where I didn't get a new seniority number.

Strange.. me too. I can't remember ever not moving up a seniority number.

This summer is going similar to 2010 and 2007 where they really needed to add new bodies...speaking of: refer to my next post...

A few tidbits from a few big wigs after being at the right place at the right time:

300 new bodies is just the beginning... they anticipate significant off the street hiring later next year and it sounds like many more bodies than just 300.

College degree is required for the Pinnacle SSP participants, not for CPZ or XJ flows. Said perhaps sometime in the future the requirement may be waived, but only for those actively pursuing the degree and not for those that didn't just blow it off.

Aircraft order is between the 777 and 330, and no decision has been made yet. It sounds like they may be leaning toward the 777 as some things they want to do will be out of even the 332's range.

321 order is Airbus's to lose. We want it, they just have to dance.

319/320 are getting reconfigured without the aft galley (like what the FA's hate on the 88/90, but it's a money maker). Lavs will be moved to the back wall and it'll allow 9 or so more seats on each plane. It will greatly improve the CASM of the 319. 319s will get AVOD and start being used on long legs again. 320 apparently won't be getting AVOD.

So after looking at the GS for the ATL88 all I can say is "wow!"
They sent out 29 in the right seat and 36 in the left seat. That's right boys and girls 65 GS in just one category in one day. That's staggering.

Oh and this didn't include the inverse assignments!

Pretty sure that was the first book that actually brought me to tears since I was a kid reading about Bambi and the like. I sure hope the movie does justice to the heroes who died in that mission and in the rescue attempt.

A guy on the 320 in ATL got his first GS today and already his second tomorrow (along with 10% of the category). I think that's a new record. On a Thursday... not even the weekend.
