There, that's better. Didn't mean to put a picture of one of them modern jets people don't want to be forced to fly here even if its flying routes they do want to fly.

Surely ;) the Embraer will only be utilized until we could be profitable on the route with 717s?

3 plus years of campaigning, barely any money, and still haven't approached the NMB? I don't think that qualifies as bailing like rats off the titanic.

Just curious...how long, in months, was the campaign to get ALPA on the property?

Not really germane here, but lets follow your concept for a minute... Looking at recent history of pilot groups who've left ALPA.

How about USAPA?
(Notwithstanding the absolute abject failure they have been at enhancing the careers and bank accounts of their membership.)

How about FPA?
(Oh wait, they were an massively ineffective failure too!)
The pilots realized the effectiveness of ALPA and impotence of being "independent" and have been very successful since they re-affiliated.

Name a pilot group that has had better long term
success by leaving ALPA. Please, I'd love have solid examples. (.....You do realize "independent union" is an oxymoron, right?)

Who really cares "how long it takes", I care about results, the infrastructure to achieve results and influence outcomes. "Independent union" hasn't been and won't be the solution.

Imho, if we are ever going to be in a position to choose, TC must step aside. If there are as many Dpa members(serious members, not just guys trying to scare dalpa) they need a leader that people trust and will follow. TC ain't the guy. If guys are serious they need to get off their butts and chat boards and come forward. While I do somewhat admire his tenacity, I think he's doing more harm to reaching the magic number than helping

Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way.
Based on his email blasts, I cannot/will not back DPA if he's affiliated with it in anyway.

DPA seems to run a very negative campaign, much like many of our politicians. Instead of telling us whats wrong with ALPA, why don't you tell us what your going to do to make the place better (besides just getting rid of ALPA).

And even then, it's likely not going to work if you're in a higher bucket and there are trips in your bucket that need covering. They assign the higher bucket trips first and if you get one, they won't even look at your yellow slip for the shorter trip. Found that out a while back when they gave a 2 day trip I had yellowed for to a junior guy in the 3 day bucket and gave me a 3 day trip (I was also in the 3 day bucket) even though there were no reserves in the 2 day bucket. Seems like I learn something new about the reserve system on a weekly basis and almost none of it seems logical. :P

IDK. My parents weren't alive then. However, times were extremely different WRT social media and methods of communication.
