IDK. My parents weren't alive then. However, times were extremely different WRT social media and methods of communication.

Looks like Delta pilots joined ALPA on August 1st, 1940. I think things were different then. :D

It has to be false - There will be NO movement in LA.

But if true......:D:D:D

Baja.

If guys are serious they need to get off their butts and chat boards and come forward. While I do somewhat admire his tenacity, I think he's doing more harm to reaching the magic number than helping

You are probably very close to the truth. Don't think DPA has a chance as long as there is significant population that doesn't trust the leadership - basically the same problem ALPA is facing. IF DPA were to elect (how?) a more moderate leadership, there could be serious trouble for the establishment. Not much hope otherwise.

Then again, we had no more gate space for expansion at LAX either... ;)

Has anyone ever tried to jumpseat on JetBlue from JFK to the Carribean? Is it allowed? If so, what's the deal?

Not the Caribbean, but Mexico. Basically, you can only do it as a zed fare because you need to pay the taxes. If you try to list as a j/s, when you get to the gate they won't be able to board you without paying that first. That was my experience anyway. Good luck.

I have Listed non-rev on JetBlue from FLL-KIN, (and my brother who also flies does JFK-KIN), as usual OAL only in The Cabin. You pay only the taxes for round-trip or one way and they may be paid over the phone at the time of booking or at the check-in counter at the time of check-in. As far as I know JetBlue welcomes as many NRSA's as they're seats available. I hope that helps.

319/320 aircraft upgrades

I just finished listening to the new, right from Richard. Apparently, at the last BOD meeting they approved a new configuration for the A319/A320 fleet. The A319's will be getting avod throughout the plane with live Tv. Also, specifically mentions using these airplanes on routes to Latin America. It looks like we may actually grow our own product in Latin America vs. Pushing people to GOL and Aero Mexico.
