What's going on in SEA, last week we name a SEA VP and this week we cancel the SEA-KIX flight?

Dunno ... could be that plans in Seattle were sidetracked by someone turning on the coffee maker at the DOJ.

This is driving, and much more affordable.

I'd guess 60 PSI in the back tires to perform that silliness, although it does take reflexes to pull it off in that car. We had a RUF conversion 930 in the shop back in the 1980's that belonged to a Belgian who told me to drive it and keep it from getting rusty. Mostly, that car just scared me. Driven in anger, that thing was beyond my skill set. IMHO the shift linkage and the spring rates needed to be tweaked to make it a little more "friendly."

Of course, every time we drove it we twisted the waste gate down. It would compress the engine mounts and subframe would bottom out against the unibody. At 3,300 RPM the boost would come on so strong that you could actually hear the mechanism in the factory gauge go "click" as it struck the side of the housing at it's limit.

If you have the stomach for it, I've seen a few guys flip Ferrari's. Since there is a two year waiting period for new owners, and Ferrari's new 7 year warranty, you can acquire the car, drive it for a year, and sell it to an impatient first year owner for at or just above sticker. Get in an accident though with it, and you're SOL.

Anyone notice who the sponsor is for the USA Rugby team?

Anybody know the company policy regarding counting our layover hotels toward our personal hotel rewards programs? Does one exist?

Don't bother. The fine print in all the programs don't allow crew members to receive points on layover stays. I'm gold at a few different chains and it's hard to even get a room upgrade on a layover, yet alone points. You're pretty much wasting your time asking the hotel clerks for points or stay credit if you are on a layover.

I thought RA was pleased with the performance of SEA-KIX?

Heard a "talking point" that the 737-900 economics isn't quite what the company wanted, and there may be a business case for actually doing the heavy checks on the 757s.

It's funny how the aircraft rumor has died again...it's the end of August 2013...so when it starts again it will be the forth time it starts...the proofs in the pudding...
