Non-rev help folks. Going international and HK's are on the airport standby list... Do they upgrade them to Business Class? Does anyone know for sure? Thanks:confused:
For what it's worth, I use a rule of 12 at hub airports. If the number of overbookings for the plane + nonrevs ahead of me ≤ 12 (as of, say, 3 hours prior), I usually get on. At non hub airports the number is less because no misconnects. The euros in particular are very good at making their flights, I've found the number of no-shows at european airports other than AMS & CDG is usually 2 or 3. |

The DPMP is contractual. Even if DPMP does survive the next contract, it will be more of the same--- an increase in premiums and a decrease in benefits. |

Your One Great Team passes will code you as a 'PSUP' on the upgrade list. That's below any Medallions or COBUS folks but above any other nonrevs. BTW, if there happens to be any other One Great Team riders on your flight, the upgrade goes by check in time, not date of hire, so this is one time it pays to check in at 24hrs prior.

When our govt passes a bill that is so revolutionary without reading it or absorbing the negative impacts to the nation, industry, honest taxpayers, etc, its wrong. When UPS and DAL release press about their objection....huge red flag.

Great Post hitimefurl! Good analysis of DPA. When I read through their periodicals and planned operating expenses, I got the impression that most of the information was based on assumptions. Furthermore, majority of TC's publications seemed emotionally-based and designed to scare pilots in staying with ALPA. Ironic that DPA officers are so keen on chastising DALPA compensation packages, yet they seem to be quite generous to themselves with our dues. I'd love to be able to get behind an in house union, but until people like TC step down no way can I back the DPA. |

Too late. Too much "free stuff". Of course if the Hildabeast gets elected it will be replaced with a single payer, government administered system. So we got that going for us. I can hardly wait.
