You wouldn't believe some of the stupid crap he used to post on the NWAlpa web board. When I heard he was the DPA guy I knew I could never support it.

I've outlined it before...I just don't want to see us order more of them. Nothing traumatic happened, it's just a crappy plane IMO.

I loved the trips and the captains were typically cool. It was nice seeing the screens in the daylight, and the FMC was nice except for lacking route 2. Oh, and the automatic radar on the new planes was sweet, but all new airbuses come with that too.

The love for the 737 stops there. It's a warmed over 1950's design (e.g. those fancy engine screens with no ability to do system diagnostic...instead relying on the stupid recall lights, the buzz saw trim wheel, and crappy ventilation) with a really loud and uncomfortable cockpit. Not to mention it handles like a sloppy, anemic 757. I really don't want to see us reward boeing for continued mediocrity by buying more of them.

Buzz, I flew the -800 in both seats. I agree with you on the screens, but if I can avoid the 737 for the rest of my career; I will.

Here's a slogan for you: The Boeing 737: Over-hyping Yesterday's Technology...Today.

Even though everybody ran right over you, the 200 was just flat fun. [I bid of the "8" to fly it.]....... Now where does the period go, next to the quote thingy?

Here's the way I see it. Ergonomically it leaves things to be desired. Overall, everything below the glareshield is great. Everything above it sucks. Excluding the CAs HUD.

Did you not notice that buzzsaw posing as a trimwheel aiming for the pilots' kneecaps?

I flew the 737 in all its forms for a long time. In all that time, I was always surprised that trim wheel didn't kneecap someone.

I think Abbott owes a royalty check to Boeing for pants replacement due to knee skiffs.

You kids don't own knee pads? We've got a couple sets around the house. Handy things to have you know.
