They'll probably tell you that they would not of done that if it was up to them and that those issues are an unfortunate reality due to the fact that BOTH pilot groups ratified the joint contract.

Or something that needs to be rectified in 2012

Everyone has their issues prioritized. Scope is probably the biggest issue for a large percentage of this pilot group, with pay restoration being right behind it.

Pay and retirement restoration don't count for a lot when you are downgraded to a lower paying position or onto the unemployment line.

Hello my fair and unbiased prospective LEC representatives.

A) I'm curious how you feel about post 9/11 hire pre-merger NWA pilots (who have zero pension) receiving approximately 3% less 401k contribution than their pre-merger DAL counterparts.

Let's compare what really happened with the JCBA.

1. On October 30, 2008, you received an approximate 10% raise while I got zip.
2. Everyone kept their DC as was previously negotiated by their individual pilot groups.
3. As part of the JCBA, everyone will get the same increases for several years, then in 2012 you get an additional 3% DC raise, while I'll get zip.

And YOU'RE complaining?

Company tired of paying greenslips while it has bodies?

They have stated that it was because not enough people took em, but we shall see.......

And you were making 10% more than me for over a year. Get over it. It's time to move on.

Unity 101. No doubt you'll be willing to fix that unlike our current leadership. Believe it or not there are some issues that are more immanent than RJ's to some of us. Thanks.

And that is the reason why we have so many RJs.

FEMA has offered up a few thousand trailers that do not meet the government specifications for human habitatation. That being said, they are still an improvement from what we have now. :)

B) I'd also like to know how you feel about pre-merger NWA pilots receiving their longevity raises 2-3 months after their pre-merger DAL counterparts.

They would probably answer that the fNWA pilots had a much better deal in February 2008. They passed it up so they could have their arbitration. That had costs and now you are paying those costs. Nothing in life is free, I hope it was worth it. There is not too much sympathy in the south, because it cost us 2% in pay for 4 years. Say "no" and it will always get better, right? Oh wait, sometimes it gets worse.

I'm dying for some similar time zone shizzle or some "premium widebody international pay." Haven't seen it and now probably never will.

How's the small bus FNWA guys?

It's HORRIBLE!!!! All TPA-LAX Redeyes! If you want to keep your sanity STAY AWAY!!!!!:D

I keed, I keed. It's a great airplane and I miss it.:(

Very roomy, fairly comfortable. I'm not sure how the trips will be out of SLC, but out of DTW I enjoyed them. Most days never had more then 2 legs, usually just your first or last day had 3 legs. Occasionally they will sneak a 4 leg day in on ya, but overall it's a great airplane.

Although, since you're a Boeing guy I'm not sure you could get comfortable with the whole sidestick commanding a roll rate several laws of flight controls kinda thing! Then there is that weird tray table in front of you, and with the Auto Throttles engaged the Thrust Levers dont move!!
Ya know what, it's pretty scary. You should probably just stay away!:p

Okay, you're uneducated.

My upgrade went from approximately 5 years to 10 years. A massive pay cut for 5 years on either contract. 10% of the NWA list has left in 2 years, what fraction of the DAL list has?

I gained a 9% hourly raise and a 7% reduction in guarantee hours for a net 2% raise. So no, not a 10% raise.

Work with facts and we can have a more constructive discussion.
