Voila, as simple as that.
Once again, an ALPA surrogate lowering expectations and carrying the company's water.

Because his argument has no teeth, and he knows it. So he brings the smoke and mirrors.

Quite simply disagree. My reps (66) have been in the lounge (yes, weekends) since the 3 page document came out from the MEC (in JUNE!) explaining, not in general terms, but in explicit terms exactly which paragraph in the PWA was the issue and what could be gained from it. Potentially. I'd say that 3 months and the ability to see and speak with reps is as clear as this LOA could be.

From the MEC update link

Delta agreed to commence negotiations to preserve long haul international Trans-Pacific flying in lieu of the current NRT slot requirement provisions.
If you have a Facebook account you can read the 66 update from last night. There's no mention of Skymark or dedicated codeshares and talks specifically about reducing 5th freedom codeshare out of Japan from existing limits. Skipping the MEMRAT discussion for now there's been a 3 month window open with exact language and exact block hours in which you had time to discuss this. The block hour graph looks pretty clear to me. NRT stable to neutral and PAC flying growing. I attended lounge dog and pony show and heard the same thing Scoop heard. The new 330s are for PACRIM flying which probably isn't good news for the ER guys.

On that last sentence, the A330 pays more than the 767Er, right? So how is it a bad thing? If the A330's are Growth, the ER guys can upgrade and get a pay raise. If the 330's are replacements, one for one, of the older ER's, the ER guys will STILL be able to upgrade, for a pay raise.

I don't see the downside for the ER guys when we are getting more, higher paying, airframes.

Got to see part of the races on a long SFO Layover on Sunday. I was truly amazed at how fast those things are! You just don't get a good feel for it watching on TV.

I was thinking more about the traditional "we lost our flying" complaints and not the upgrade to a bigger widebody but you are correct sir!

Well at 4pm today, east coast, on NBCSC (the old Versus channel) you should be able to watch what will be the final race, wind permitting.

They are now tied at 8-8, next win takes the Cup home. Wind forecast is about 20-24, which will put it right at the 24.4kt limit, I just hope they get the last race in. The Kiwi's were up huge, like 8-1, but have been on a losing streak lately.

Yesterday they even won the start, and were ahead going into the third leg (of 5) but got passed when they did some stupid stuff (tried to lee-bow the US team). Had the Kiwi's won yesterday, it would be over, but it's down to one race now, who ever wins today, wins the America's Cup. The American boat (Team Oracle, funded by Larry Ellison) has really had an epic comeback.

DogWhisperer sighting in ATL ops. I'm going to fart and see if he notices.

I'm sure they are based on all this coming together this way but when your route goes from an ER to a Bus then the ER goes to some place less desirable you feel a little left out on the growth feeling.....
