Alfa, I just read this while feeding my 4 month old a bottle. I am saddened for your loss. Words can never adequately express the sorrow and pain of loosing someone. I know I would personally be devastated. As many others on here of already expressed I wish you and your family peace during this tragic time in your lives.

I would offer to fly one of your trips so you could spend as much time as you need with your family. Does anybody even know if we can do that? Can we cover a trip for a fellow pilot and have the company pay the person on bereavement?

Alpha,

I am so sorry for your loss. What you wrote and are going through puts perspective on everything. Prayers to you and your family.

Alfa, so sorry to hear this. As a father of 4, 3 are girls, this is always one of my biggest fears. Ever since they started driving, I've been waiting for that call. It keeps us up late at night until they get home or call in safe, but I know some day I'll probably get that call.

If there's anything we can do for you and your family, please don't hesitate to ask. You know we are all praying for you and your family to get through this tragedy. I hope Delta is giving you some time off to deal with this.

It’s sobering events like this that remind us what’s really important in life. I can't imagine anything worse. I’m very sorry for your loss, Alfa. God Bless.
