Alfa, it looks like you are talking about the loss of your daughter there. I'm so sorry for your loss if that is the case (or close to you). Definitely praying for you and your family tonight.

Alpha,
Sir, there is no greater pain than the loss of a daughter ... none. Every night I kiss my little girl and endeavor to never take for granted every little hug. Three friends, and if I may count you, four have lost their daughters and it is beyond my understanding of how such things can happen. Having lost three very close friends last year; I know the "let us know what we can do for you" is appreciated, but rings hollow. I remember the set list my best friend and I played the weekend before he burned to death in a flight test accident. I still await his call to say, "Dude they got the wrong guy ... this is embarrassing, lets go ..." That call never comes. May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. And may God give you His peace in your going out and in your coming in, in your lying down and in your rising up, in your labor and in your leisure, in your laughter and in your tears... Until you come to stand before Jesus in that day in which there is no sunset and no dawning. |

Your daughter stops over on Saturday after work to say hi. She takes a shower before the company picnic and then has a piece of your Key Lime Pie. She has another piece because you make a great pie. You give her a hug tell you love her and then wish her fun at her picnic. Then three days later you get woken up on a layover with a phone call to realize that you will never see her ever again. It is quite trite but true. Enjoy every minute with your kids and family.

Alpha, Condolences. As the father of two daughters I can imagine what you and your family are going through. I am sure that you can count on the Delta family for all the support you and your family will need. Scoop |
