Yep. Just hit submit on my December bid. It's a big dream. It was like, wow, if that bid ever happened (it won't) life would be just swell.

I believe the change in this year's Gold plan is that Delta's portion of the HRA dollars are no longer automatically funded. They are contingent on you and your wife meeting certain health parameters, and submitting them to Delta: BMI, blood sugar level, BP, etc.

How Delta will safeguard and apply this information is unknown. It's not a stretch to infer that it will become a part of Delta's "big data" on each of us, included in our files about how many times we've used the commuter policy, neglected gatehouse PAs, sick calls(!), etc.

IMO, this new requirement presents some troubling privacy issues--especially for our spouses.

Last year that information was "optional but highly recommend." Has it changed this year to being required? I also have a hard time with the privacy issues this might bring up. Never mind I just looked it up. This is a bad precedent I think.

Taken from the Benefits enrolment Magazine.

new!

Yes, that is my understanding.
I suppose it's not technically "required." One could opt out of submitting the data. As I understand it, that would result in zero "Delta Dollars" into the HRA.

Sending personal health data to Delta is also required to partially offset increases in the HSA's out-of-pocket costs this year.

Its seems doing what we had to do last year still gets us the $300. That was the physical the enrolment on website, and being a non-smoker. The new stuff is worth $250, but you can still get $200 by: "even if one or more of your biometrics (4a, 4b, 4c, 4d) are not within the healthy ranges, you will have the opportunity to earn the entire $200 in delta Health Rewards dollars related to those biometrics by completing One delta Health direct online or telephonic wellness course."

Looks like I'm going to be taking a much closer look at the DPMP. That HSA change in coinsurance from 90/10 to 80/20 is a big kick in the balls as well. Didn't it change in 2013 from 100 to 90/10?

could be wrong though. AMR could make a play for SEA... ;) Of course I really don't think Mr Anderson is interested in a menage-a-trois with AK and AMR either. Methinks Mr Tilden has some decisions to make.

Delta is ' self insured'. UHC just administers the plan. There is no way in he++ I'm selling my personal health info to them for a couple of sawbucks. Go ask the rampers for data.
