Interesting article the other day... I wish I could find it... was that the "tax" (penalty) can only be recovered if you are getting a tax refund in April. What this could lead to is people blowing this whole thing off, changing their W4s to reflect 99 dependents so that the gubbamint takes NOTHING out, meaning that you have to pay in April.. and then they have no vehicle to take your money. The double whammy to the .gov is that they now have less money in the coffers to use for free anymore. Of course John Q won't figure that out, and the ones that this debacle is aimed at don't pay any taxes anyway... but it was interesting.

Also, now that folks are finding that their deductibles are off the charts, hospitals will be in the business of bill collection for those higher deductibles. The hits just keep coming...
