Okay, I went back and reread his post. I may be taking the Unity thing out of context but his comment implied to me that there could not be unity with anything other than his way of thinking. Just from a numbers standpoint, there is more unity within the majority than the minority.

OK, I think I got you now. He didn't say that high 80 percentages were required for unity. He was just lamenting ALPA's targeting of 50%+1 as not reaching far enough for restoration. 50%+1 is technically defined as a majority...not unity.

I think he's right in the desire to shoot for much higher passage numbers. It would not only show we've reached for more, but would unarguably show unity. Our MEC chairman was just recalled on a 10-9 vote. It was a majority, but nobody could call our current MEC unified.

That's exactly how I feel when I'm sitting in base, late morning-early afternoon, and they haven't passed out the short calls for the next day -- trying to figure out if I should go home. :D

No, old school 757. Only IFE to Hawaii is the 767 from SLC, LAX or ATL 330 to HNL. Everything else is old school or AK codeshare.
