Airline Pilot Central Forums - Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

Like my Mom used to say;

There are old pilots, and there are bold pilots, but there are no old, bold pilots! ;)

We get paid by the minute, so I'm never in a hurry to be the first one at the scene of the accident. Holding and diverting pays a whole lot better than disability.

Speaking of old or bold, did anyone see the ER that diverted to MVD from EZE yesterday? Severe turbulence, slat departed the aircraft:eek:. Sounds like a scary ride.

Well looks like our last 2 DC9's are departing for a CLT museum and a museum in Thief River Falls today. Not sure about the 9 minus the engines at the TOC though. Maybe its going to our own museum.

She's been gone for a year or so. Left right after Sandy. On the way out she turned MB in for an illegal apartment. Nice, huh?

The 60 is a rocket! It can go from Sea Level to 410 in 9 minutes if you don't get held up! But....... Even it can't comply with the sid if you lose an engine. So you depart vfr and maintain terrain avoidance through the valley.

Maybe one of the tri-jet falcons can with an engine out..... Don't know for sure.
