Speaking of old or bold, did anyone see the ER that diverted to MVD from EZE yesterday? Severe turbulence, slat departed the aircraft:eek:. Sounds like a scary ride.

I guess that's what it looks like when you overspeed the flaps.

Accident: Delta B763 at Buenos Aires on Jan 21st 2014, turbulence rips off slat

Maybe one of the tri-jet falcons can with an engine out..... Don't know for sure.

So the 60's performance reminds me of the DC9,

which makes it's last flight tomorrow from ATL-... a museum near MSP?

Here is the rule.

14 CFR Part 117 requires the company to provide a rest period of 56 hours minimum for flight duty periods or a series of flight duty periods that travel more than 60 degrees longitude and time away from home base is longer than 168 hours. The 56 hour minimum rest period must encompass three physiological nights’ rest based on home base local time.

You obviously don't understand the little gem known as FRMS.

Scambo is correct. JNB and DXB both require the same rest as the rule you quote above.

One of the reasons the owner of my crashpad doesn't allow FAs.

Razor,

I have stayed at crashpad oaisis a few times. Not a bad place. $50 a night out the door and you get your own room. Clean bed and towels. Depending on time of day and weather I walk from the Air Train, takes about 20 minutes to walk, otherwise it's about a $15 taxi ride. It's 1st come 1st serve and I have never been turned away but the sooner you can book the better. Sherry owns and runs the place and she lives in the basement. Her website looks like it's down. PM me and I'll send you her #.
