Thanks Jughead. |

Scheduling Guru Question...I used to be able to move RES days around much easier through PCS. I could essentially move things around to work a max of 6, be off for 1, then work 6 more if I so desired. Now trying to do such a thing gives me an error for 30/168.
Would have been nice to have known this prior to bidding.

If I start Long Call at 0000, and can't be scheduled for anything before 1200, haven't I just had 36 hours of rest coming off a single X day?

Well, it's above 2.5 billion, so we will get 20%……….. LOL, I bet I told at least 10 pilots that this is not the way it's paid out. You could almost see the joy leave the face.
I was told Flt pay plus Flt Advance times .083. Don't forget about the 25% federal tax joy. |

I think all us wide body pilots who only fly one leg a month, need a Pitts S2 program to keep our stick and rudder skills up to snuff! :D
Pitts S2B Aerobatics GoPro (With Mr. Bruce Bohannon) - YouTube The odd part in the two incidents mentioned; Asiana in SFO and SW at wrong airport, is that in the first case, they did rely too much on the automation, and in the second case, they seemed to ignore it. So...which is it; do we need to rely more on automation to find the right airport at night, or ignore it to make a day VFR landing when the ILS is inop? |

Thanks, that's a nice amount. I told my "Yes" voter captain about that a few weeks ago. He didn't believe me (which was not surprising at that point, if you know what I mean). He kept saying, "They put aside $500 million for profit sharing." $290M vs $405M, or put another way an avg of $26,363/pilot vs $36,818.

Gents, I'd appreciate it if someone would field a couple of questions as I plan my return from mil leave.
1. When I return, I'll have been out of the cockpit for 16 months. I plan to return to the same plane. Do I go through full initial training, or some fraction thereof? 2. When I tell the company where I want to drop back in, do I base that on the staffing list current during the month I call, or on the projected staffing list for the month I'll actually show up? This is a big deal for me - it's the difference between SLC and DTW. |
