Okay guys, cut the political talk. You know that's not allowed here.
newK- what part of town are you in? A lot of it depends on what sort of car you drive. My accord (and years of living up north) work just fine. Careful with the black ice, though. They don't salt down here if you haven't figured that out... that's a major cause of the gridlock (along with everyone thinking it was fine to go into work this morning). |

The roads were bad, but I've seen a lot worse. I'm not exactly sure of the conditions of the expressways though. After watching the news all afternoon, I realized no matter what you drive, it's kind of hard to drive on I-85, or I-75 when they are blocked by 3 semi's apiece. :D What really hurt was when they let the kids go to school, then sent out a mass text message, at lunchtime, telling parents that they would be dismissed in an hour, sending every working parent rushing out of their office, or lunch, at the same time -- adding to the gridlock. |

You rich captains and your fancy cars. ;) Yep, people got stuck on the expressways thanks to the semi's and a few idiots, and then the rest of the roads froze over as the sun went down. The amount of black ice that formed on the roads after the sun went down was incredible. It wasn't too bad in my area, but I bet is going to be a sheet of ice in the morning. Good thing I live on a steep hill! |

Stay in the house, bro. I got caught in the middle of downtown when everything hit and was amazed at how fast some people were driving. Flat out stupid, IMO. The only thing that made my pizza run successful was that very few people were out.
It's going to be ugly tomorrow…. It would be interesting to see a time lapse of the traffic and wreck status of ATL over the last 24 hours. Here's to not getting called out tomorrow! (only 2 more days of rsv and back to a line). |

I remember that well! We were without power for a couple days... that was a crazy storm.
This one today was more on par with our usual annual storm, just the timing was perfect for totally crippling the afternoon rush home. |
Forget it..........
