I missed some great moments at the Grammys!

Some of you might remember this 1993 storm. People were stranded for days, and Delta had to essentially shut down and then restart their whole operation.

Don't worry. It dies down when those 2 mile wide hurricanes and record breaking hurricanes and typhoons form in the spring and fall….

I remember that well! We were without power for a couple days... that was a crazy storm.

This one today was more on par with our usual annual storm, just the timing was perfect for totally crippling the afternoon rush home.

Anything with rear wheel drive is going to suck in snow and ice. No weight over the rear wheels.

I beg to differ. Back in the day, and I'm hesitant to say just how far back that was... I drove a '67 Beetle as my airport car and it went like stink in the snow. I'm pretty sure that it was rear wheel drive. I have a '62 Porsche Cabriolet now that I think would go about as well but I'm reluctant to try.:D

They've actually called out the National Guard to assist stranded drivers.

Pickup time is not the same as report time. Report time is defined in our contract and is 1 hour prior to scheduled push for domestic and 90 minutes prior for international - that is when we actually start our FDP. Hotel pickup times are usually scheduled to get you to the airport prior to your actual report time.

"Flight duty period (FDP) means a period that begins when a flightcrew member is required to report for duty with the intention of conducting a flight, a series of flights, or positioning or ferrying flights,..."

Also, from the part 117 definitions:
"Deadhead transportation means transportation of a flightcrew member as a passenger or non-operating flightcrew member, by any mode of transportation, as required by a certificate holder, excluding transportation to or from a suitable accommodation. All time spent in deadhead transportation is duty and is not rest. For purposes of determining the maximum flight duty period in Table B of this part, deadhead transportation is not considered a flight segment."

Unfortunately, when we show up in the lobby for the ride to the airport we are not yet reporting for duty.

Doesn't exhaust me at all. I do muse about the exhaust coming out of Algore's home, however. Are you paying for your "carbon footprint?"

Wanna go toe to toe Monster? Gladly. Bring it.

C'mon New. Have you switched to Obamacare yet? Or are you still on the Delta plan? Would you vote for him again? He's a disaster and if you can't acknowledge that, I'm sorry.

Besides, Gore hit the mother lode with a stupid and unproven idea. Driving in Atlanta tonight.

You're better than this.
