Alfa,
May God's peace which surpasses all understanding be upon you and your family during these times. Don't forget in the darkness what you have learned in the light.

That's weird since there were 0 trips in the oct bid pack and the FAA acceptors are on furlough. I bet there are some trips that get covered four times.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, alfa.

alfa...I'm not a pilot and not a DL employee. As a mother of 3 kids (now young adults) I am terribly saddened by the tragic loss of your daughter. As others have said, it's every parent's nightmare...especially when we're on layovers.

Please accept my deepest condolences to you and your family at this terrible time...... :(
God bless and may she rest in peace.

Alfa,

I think I speak for all Alaska pilots on this. Our prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

I've been steering clear of this forum for the last week. This is news I never want to read when I come back. I have a daughter and a son. The pure thought of losing them gives me shuddering chills.

Prayers for you and your family Sir. Please don't hesitate to call on us if you should need anything. :( :(

Right- except they do have reserves and they can most certainly schedule OE pretty much anytime they like, so I don't think that is really a problem.

Either way- I'm not sure we peons are actually getting correct info regarding FAA "acceptors" when it comes to delivery of the 717s. Why would the company post a bid pack for the 717 for November when they have no idea whether or not the shutdown will be over by Nov 1? They could just as easily have built the time into the A320 like they did this month and covered "converted" flying via 717 reserves in ATL if/when the appropriate FAA personnel are back on the job (assuming there are actually any people who have to "accept" aircraft that were already performing revenue service a month ago using a different seat design.)
