Do you know if that launch is from KSC, or the equatorial launch pad at French Guyana?
Carl Complex 40 At Canaveral. It got scrubbed for tonight. Elon needs to spend a little coin on public affairs. I'm 10 miles from the pads, and there is zero information being put out here. Here's a good link to a status report for Thursday. Spaceflightnow |

Some guys on this forum have said something to the affect of "If its that bad just quit." Well 46 Pilots just did. Like I said there are still thousands waiting to get to DAL so maybe it will not make any difference, but it is something to consider. This is not the career it used to be. I personally know 5 guys around my seniority (early 2000 hires) that have left and are not looking back. Well, maybe one of them is looking back. :) Scoop |

The reason why it has something to do with the price of tea in China (or Atlanta) is that we have guys with 13 years of seniority at what many of us believe to be THE place to be choosing to be elsewhere. That shows some chinks in the armor. From your perspective, I understand why that's not important. From my perspective (and those junior to me), it matters hugely. As I said in an earlier post, we eat our young at DAL and management loves it. That's why. |

Getting back to the original post and line of thought, the question was why/how guys choosing to forego DAL for other options might affect future contracts. That's a paraphrase.

I really don't see it that way. I get what you're saying, but I think this is much ado about nothing. It's 46 guys. Senior/junior... doesn't matter. I guess you could ask the same question about guys that supposedly retire early too... I just don't see it as a chink in the armor, but rather another opportunity that arose when they were not here. Now if guys were leaving who were still employed, I would see the point. Much like the concern at JetBlue. They should be concerned...
That means they're employed by somebody else that offers a better gig. Again, that's a trend and a sign. If we're going to be THE place to be, that would be nil. We're not JetBlue, which is why those guys are coming back to us. Apparently, we're not FedEx or SWA either. That's troubling in my mind. |

Let me ask it this way. How many went to another airline? If even half of them did, then maybe you have a point. If they are bond traders making $1.6 mil on Wall Street... well......
