This person will most likely be our chairman (barring a DPA vote and win) for contract 2015. Imho, A.A. is the man for the job.
The 10 Reps that recalled KR have the same power to elect whomever they like, and they don't GAS what you think. They will elect someone who will:

A) Give them OM type leadership to short circuit the MEC to deliver a TA that the company wants, and

B) Someone who will devote MEC support towards reelecting Moak next Nov.

You can forget AA on that count, and maybe VS for the PR value, but expect a last minute entry who will have the support of the recall 10.

Hey guys, a brief interlude to the sick leave madness, what's the deal with positive space for spouses over the holidays? I'm thinking about picking up a long MIA layover on New Year's Eve and taking my wife. I seem to recall an SD memo about it....😳

Does Art not want LM for another term? Have you asked him?

Carl I enjoy your posts, but Delta makes the decision on charters. All DCI does is fly the charter with a Delta Charter Rep onboard. I've flown charters w/ college men's BB teams (as well as women's teams) onboard and it is uncomfortable for them, as well as a 737 or MD would be because of their size (granted better on mainline but still uncomfortable). But again, that's a Delta call, not DCI. Even Pat Summit of TN flew w/ her team on an RJ charter I flew, a very gracious lady. A treat to meet her.

ASA even flew 4-5 RJs (50 seats) to Tuscaloosa once to fly the FB team to Athens Ga instead of a 757 or something similar. Needless to say Saban was ****ed! But, again, Delta made that decision of what plane to use. No doubt more profit w/ the RJs (at the time) was the deciding factor I would guess.

Make sure the reason for the visit "describes the nature of the illness in general terms" This is really key for the 4th floor carreer types that process these requests.

Cool, so "Generally not feeling well" should suffice.
