Tempting, very tempting. Great flying if you like that sort of thing.

Be nice to know how long they plan to keep those aircraft (positions). Quite a few would stay there until retirement / upgrade if they could, but ... playing displacement pinball is not fun (or productive).

The December posting had 162 vacancies, the award resulted in 296 AEs, 0 MDs, 0 VDs and 7 reinstatements. This AE moved 303 pilots to categories they would rather have been in and 0 pilots to categories they would rather not be in.

Thanks all........good to see everyone.

But, of course I need something too

Does anyone have a link to John Bell's excel sheet for the latest AE? I dropped 3 on the AE but I figure they are backfills. Just want to see if I broke even or really fell 3.

Slowly inching my way back up in the NYC ER to what I held 5 years ago. What worries me are next years "backfills," for the summer. Are they really going to have a bid to staff an airplane for 4-5 months only to displace again? Will they go senior or junior? Why do I feel like this guy? ...

New hires can not be put into a seat that has not been offered for bid to line pilots. If you bid a seat that a new hire shows up in then you have a right to that seat. Call crew planning.
