What.......? Magically in a quarter or two DAL worked some financial magic on them and spun them 180?? Implying that this is:
A. A true fact, and:
B. Then imply the same can be done to a decades long, chronically mismanaged dysfunctional business is:
Fantasy. Plain and simple.
I can think of 11,600 more reasons for Delta to invest money in than that.

Will perhaps play into a Trans Atlantic scope violation. I figured AZ's disappearance might result in compliance just in time for management on 31 March 2014. AZ seems to keep saying, "I'm not dead yet."

If we (DALPA) were stupid enough to give them the three year window, I wouldn't expect otherwise.

The Flight Ops FAR 117 Bulletin says that by signing the FDR we are agreeing to the max flight extension possible unless the pilot not wanting to extend calls the dispatcher.
Does this mean I will have to call the dispatcher before every flight and tell him that even though I am signing the release, I do not agree to any FDP extensions that may arise later.
I don't think the intention of FAR 117 was for extensions to be automatic unless you call and tell them otherwise.

Just did CUN,
New hotel, nice place but not nearly as good a location on the strip as the old place. And the all inclusive deal is $$. But a good beach, and only a shortish cab ride (or even cheaper bus ride if your wife is used to pilots), to the main shopping/dining. Make sure to ask for a top floor, beach side. Only the top floor has balconies, but they said they try to arrange those for crew. Concierge in lobby was very helpful/nice arranging dinner plans.
Taking a spouse shouldn't be a problem, big van, friendly driver, (same guy). I watched another pilot escort his wife with him in thru customs getting in, no hassles. Standby and customs outbound is easy too. Just get a seat request from ticket counter, I believe there is a slight tax, and get thru security. Crew cannot buy duty-free anymore, but spouses can.
The liquid/gel thing is somewhat random.
It'd be a great getaway.

Any place to eat that you could recommend? Nothing too "piloty."
