Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
There are plenty of posters on here that talk about how f'ed up DAL is and the way we did/do things. Haven't you been paying attention? NWA did EVERYTHING better. For one, their IT department was vastly superior. (Nevermind that it can't talk to any other outside systems, but, hey... you didn't have to manually put in your landing currency.
)... Their relationship with management even though it was contentious, always led to better contracts than everyone else in the industry... They always had 3 FOs on every 12+ hour trip...... I could go on, but I have read most of these things on here... numerous times.
Fire away boys...... Jiffy Pop is finished and waiting.

Just read DAL is clipping PEk to NRT flights, I work these every month and the load factors on them seem good. Are we code sharing this out or just doing the Monty Python move? (run away run away)
This has been a way to get crews to Asia, will this cause more DH's to NRT or is something else happening?
thanx

What's with the stock today?
Yeah really. I looked all over and couldn't find out anything that made any sense for the drop. At least all the players fell....

I can't believe no one brought this up today. I received a text message at 0842 CST saying the bids have been posted and then 5 hours later I get another text message saying "The preliminary awards for your category have been rescinded as of 1415E."
Was that for everyone or just the ER?

All were down some after the open and held down.
Troubling technical was our volume. None of the others exceeded their avg daily volume.
DAL down on much larger negative volume than the daily average.

The market overall was down today ahead of the Fed meeting tomorrow. Investors are concerned about a reduction in the level of Federal Reserve bond buying and a new Chairman taking office.
Overall, regulators state concerns that an asset and leverage bubble is being created by cheap credit. This may be true, but, if the Fed reduces bond buying then interest rates will rise harming the real estate recovery.
Airlines are the "canaries in the coal mine" when it comes to economic downturns. I do not think we have run this bull market in real estate out yet, but I think it is close. If I were the Fed I'd take some off the table in March.
Longer term, Mexico has announced that it will allow foreign investment and ownership of oil producing assets. This inclusion of American expertise and investment is likely to double production ... which is like having another Nigeria next door. We will have low fuel prices and the Fed's action lowers them even more.
