I brain dumped all that about 7yrs ago that sounds about right. No slats and a super critical wing so speeds are higher than you'd think!

After the lawyers get their slice, each pilot should be left with a Happy Meal.

It's hard to guess the numbers, but my back of the envelope calculations say not much $$$. The lawyers will take some, then divide the rest between the 2,300 or so TWA pilots (best numbers I could find) doesn't leave a huge amount for each pilot.

Maybe what a Captain here will get in profit sharing next month - that's my guess.

And the settlement is just a hair shy of some numbers floated around too.

Hurry! Put your DPA card in, we need to leave ALPA before they assess all of us for the settlement; dues will skyrocket and bankrupt us all!

Scambo: We got Cognac/Breadsticks, after the pax get finished with 'em.

Timbo: Yes, damned chilly in JFK. A reasonable approach speed for them was about 128 plus something for the gusts, add in TAS and the tailwind, they had a GS of 180, at least. The landng distance would have off the charts, literally. While 604/605 have great brakes, the 601s, not so much.

Wow, I've got to wonder what they were thinking, making a second attempt. I wonder if there was a high priority pax on board who just HAD to get to Aspen, right NOW!?

It's finally warm enough down here to go out on the dock with a beer and watch the sunset, and play with the dogs without a heavy jacket, but it was too cold this morning. Nothing like up there, but 34 is just too cold for Florida! At least I didn't have to shovel my car out. Have fun with that!

ALPA was found guilty of DFR and now has a financial responsibility for payment. Glad they are on our side.
