I'm trying to figure out if this is the best Julianne Hough GIF ever.

Maybe I'll know for sure if I watch one more time... Is there a way to pause a GIF?

2. Is he going to make me sick? We'll see. See step 3.

3. Does he know more than me? Probably. Step 4.

4. If I knew something he didn't, would he acknowledge that? Doubt it, won't win any arguments even if I'm 100% right. Step 5.

5. Use the following one liners, go maximum troll http://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/strong.gif:

"Aw that's cool. Yeah, you I'd love to have flown helicopters in the Coast Guard had I joined but at the time I was chasing tail."

"Which one is the F-15? http://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/j/jarksaber.gif Is that the two seat one? If it's what I'm thinking, it had two seats." (can't go wrong. but don't overdo it.)

"That's in the Air Force, right?" (you're pushing it here, but it lets you know how far this can work)

"Which Academy? Where is that? Is that new, I hadn't heard of it?"

"Aw that's cool BUT what did you do before the Air Force?"

[randomly drop] "Yeah, I don't know about how you guys did it but when I was instructing..." (that's going to make an awesome ASAP report in 3... 2...)

Now, had I flown F-15s in the USAF I'd really love to play this game because I'd really know what buttons to push, "where do they do your training? Oh yeah, you know the last Captain I flew with mentioned something about how that base wasn't very good..." Oh to have flown F-15s and not tell him until the last leg and drop "well when I was at Langley..."

http://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/m/mwahaha.gif

"Did you know a guy named Ferd? I bet he got tired of you and kicked your ass." And then spike the checklist and walk out. Or awkwardly stand at the door and don't make a sound so it seems like you walked out.

That's pretty funny.

I like to ask the Academy guys if they settled on the Air Force because they couldn't get into Embry-Riddle.

If your offended by that, then you don't get the joke.

I miss the Vietnam era guys. They were all good with whatever. Didn't matter navy, AF, army, fighter, tanker... you couldn't tell unless you asked. Zero stress. Big picture always.

I think some pilots have a habit of putting their background and experience up on a pedestool. I've flown with civilian guys who complain about military guys, just as much as I've flown with military guys who complain about civilian guys. It's all relative, and I think a lot of it stems from insecurity as a person.

Some of us make this job much harder than it needs to be, and we've all witnessed that I'm sure.

No if you'll excuse me I have to get back to that Julianne Hough gif.

This is what I remember from the roadshows:
  1. Difference between summer and winter flying averages 21% (a bit more for int'l and less for domestic)
  2. Shifting the months brings that down to 17%
  3. Increasing ALV swing to 72-84 takes care of the 17%
Bottom line is that we won't be as overstaffed in the winter, BUT...

Pilots with 84-hour lines will be unable (and unwilling) to add much flying to their lines, which means that reserves will fly a lot and there will be plenty of GSs in the summer, and pilots with 72-hour lines will be trolling for open time, which means that reserves will not fly much in the winter.

I hate assh*les like this. If he is so smart, apply to be a Line Check Pilot or APD, then work your way up to CLCP or Fleet Captain. At that point you will have a say in how to fly the aircraft,

Already got one of those on the ER in ATL. Hopefully he's stuck at LCA level.
He's on plenty of no-fly lists of people he has not flown with, by reputation alone.

777B, 330B, or 765B to 717A?

Wondering what u guys thought about how junior 717A will go once all of them get delivered. IOW, will the FO's leave the big WB for 717? Any current 717A regret leaving WB, or plan to go back now that training and deliveries are increasing?

Your numbers are correct system wide. There is however a even bigger swing in the 757/767 category because of the Europe winter pull down.

Great Question. I think the 717A will become more junior once they all come in, maybe a 3 year upgrade. If the thing only flew 2 legs a day and had a west coast base, maybe it would be more senior. But as it is that plane flies a lot. Senior WB dudes moving over to the 717A are either sick of International or want to fly more.
