:D Good one! The OC is the place to be or the surrounding cities!! ;)

Yes, or SD but don't tell anyone else.

Apparently that benefit and raise was with no form of negotiation....via what are you willing to give up!

Denny

We have to give up the South Island in the move so we are only gaining a few gates.

I still think Hawaiian makes more sense. If we are worried about the Narita hub losing its strategic advantage, wouldn't Hawaii and some more heavies make for an ideal staging area for overflights into Asia? Not to mention the route authority Hawaiian has to all those Asian cities. (Although we probably have route authority to those Asian cities we aren't using right now.)

Anderson has laughed at the notion of buying HA for their aircraft. We can have additional heavy aircraft any time we want. It makes no sense at all to purchase them for that reason. Much cheaper to just buy aircraft.

They have not done a huge amount of hiring. Their last furloughed guy was not recalled until 9 or 10.

As far as gates, couldn't they extend out the A gates like they did at T4 at JFK? That would give extra gate space and maybe all of our customers wouldn't have to take the train. I love going out of the B gates there.

They are extending the A terminal. It will only add a few gates. We are planning on moving into the A and B gates but will lose all the south satellite gates. Net gain is a handful of gates. We are very gate limited in SEA.

"You’re doing a great job operating the airline,” he said. “And when you do a great job operating the airline and you treat each other with dignity and respect and you take good care of our customers, we win in the marketplace. When we win in the marketplace, we can invest those wins back in you.”

So are we getting a pay raise and an extra week of vacation?

Many employees already had 5 weeks of vacation. They had a B scale vacation system. Employees who had reached 20 years kept the 5 th week back in 05. If you had 19 years and 11 months at that point you never got the 5 th week. They have restored the 5 th week to all employees at 20 years. We never had the B scale.

Let's see the Q1 results, and then revisit your question....

They gave up their chance for representation to get those benefits.
