Denny, I was told we will only see a few gates. SWA and Alaska also want more gates.

Denny, I think you know what I meant. I was referring to vacation post bankruptcy.

We'll, I've had a few so I might have lost something in translation. :)

(Don't have to go out for 30 plus hours!)

That may be but I've heard the long term plans show us with a lot more gates.

Edit: emphasis on "a lot."

Post-merger plans, Denny. ;)

Sink r8 03-29-2014 02:57 PM

That was TIC, only. But I'll still hear from a JS tomorrow that we're getting gates at SEA, but only after the merger, so the net loss will be, let's say... 4 gates, and SW is getting those extra 4 completely made-up gates.

So we'll get screwed in that merger too.

...

This will be good for about three pages, at least...

This month I've worked 12 days plus 3 training days so 15 on reserve. Is there any duty rig or anything I should be looking at? It is also 6 different trips if that makes a difference.

I'd say these are both a given in our upcoming contract negotiations... Meaning they cost ABSOLUTELY NO BARGAINING LEVERAGE.

So, if DALPA tries to spin them as a win, it is a demonstration of DALPA's irrelevance since they were GIVEN to non-contract employees. Don't go there DALPA.

Our next pay raise is in 9 months. A raise for other employees is unknown.

Didn't take long for DALPA to go there.

Expectation management is already ramping up.

T,
My point is not that they will be as profitable as us, it is that they are profitable at all. Right now, RA and Co. Don't seem to be able to fly a 777 anywhere profitably, at least to hear them say it. BS.

I think the 777 is profitable operationally but when you add in the cost to purchase and to carry the loan, maybe not so much. This is probably where the used aircraft market makes sense.
