PBS>Settings> Download the desktops settings then run the program. You will also need to download an additional file, save to your desktop and then import it when directed to. Pretty easy, but the initial file may take a while to download depending on your internet speeds. Scoop |
Thanks! ---was looking all over the Crew Resources and Scheduling page.

Maybe maybe not. Point is that we need to look at past hiring trends and world events to craft strategy going forward. I would say that the lack of hiring for six years after 1991 and 2001 were not speed bumps, but significant detours.
ACl, I think you totally misinterpreted my post. That is exactly what I was saying - A future six year stop in hiring will inflict relatively mimimal career "pain" compared to what the '91, and 2000-2001' hires have already been through. Scoop |

Actually we bought part of Pan Am in 91 which brought pilots along with it in 91 and in 2001 we stopped hiring in July right after signing C2K which believe it or not gave some work rules to the company which allowed them to do more with less.
I do agree with what you are saying about hiring trends, however the management team in place at the time has a lot to do with the welfare of the company. The first RA followed by Leo and his cronies did not help our situation with some very poor business decision that the current RA is still having to fix (RJ's for one) The purchase of ASA and Comair for 2 billion. 2.2 billion stock buy back to prop up managements options. 800 million lost selling fuel hedges 5 billion dollars flushed down the toilet on 3 business decisions. We could have used that cash in 04/05. Note: current management is awash in stock options. They are pushing hard to raise the stock price because they state it's very good for the company. It's also very good for them and I am sure is a factor in making choices between short term stock gains and the long term business plan. It's only human nature for it to be in the back of their minds. |

Didn't we just have a fleet break down that shows we don't have a smaller widebody fleet and certainly not a drastically smaller one?

I don't use easybid because it's been a pain to set up and get on and use it. And I bid reserve for a while that I didn't need it. Last year when I went to bidding a line I started using the Navtech PBS Desktop Bidding Application (copied and pasted) and it's worked for me so far.

Speaking of PBS, it just 5h1t the bed. (1220 EDT) Halfway through my bid, and poof. I hope it saved my work.
