For what it's worth, my license only shows A330 while it shows both B757/767. I am sure a short transition course would suffice however.

I did "bounces" down at the Airbus facility in Miami once, and their sim was both. It was just a quick few minutes for the MX guys to swap out 2 for 4 thrust levers and away ya went.

Sounds like it would be an easy transition.......BUT WHEREZ THE BUNK????

Check your time card, lots of people are having trips disappear. scheduling is well aware of the issue, been fielding calls all day they said.

That buys a lot of gas and creates a lot of revenue and the aircraft are still very comfy and would sync with other Airbus WB customer premium expectations easily. Recall RA is very fond of used proven airframes at bargain prices. We need added long haul capacity yesterday.

What would your opinion be of biting off on a common category with the 330 to streamline the acquisition and training costs to quickly get close to 20 additional WB's in the fleet and the benefit to the pilot group?
True, but we needed pilots yesterday too. As much as I'd like to see something like this, I think Delta is already behind the power curve on hiring/training. Adding those kind of positions at the top of the food chain would exacerbate the problem.

Still, it's like that time in between buying a lottery ticket and when they announce the numbers. I can fantasize about the future.

Maybe because Virgin bought them new, and their payments on them are really high, and their margins are to skinny to make it work. For the right price, in the right markets, who knows? Do you know why the DC-9's lasted so long? Answer: because they were paid for.

Maybe we can, just for you T, keep this slogan on the tail of one of them:

T is just torqued off that Richard didn't trust him with this info first, and that you scooped the rumor. And that it isn't a Boeing.

Although I, on the other hand want to believe this rumor, facts and figures notwithstanding, just because it means more big iron.

I'm sure I'm the idiot on this one.
