yep. someone will be along shortly telling you what a total security violation it is posting our layover hotel. As if anyone couldn't just stand at any airport curb for 15 min to identify what shuttle/bus took us to about 75% of our hotels. When the van driver in some foreign country, driving an unmarked beat-up van, wearing dreadlocks, sandals, and a wife-beater T-shirt, has to show us an actual ID before we jump in the van with him to go who knows where... THEN I will consider not laughing when someone seriously proposes this as a security risk.
You may not want to get all those PMs though.

Technically, I did not knowingly post the name as I have only hearsay knowledge ;).

However, if a mod would like to censor the name, go ahead. Can't edit it now. No prompt for it.

Try taking the Tunnel Bus over to Windsor....fun day

I can understand within the same days as you were scheduled to fly but why more days? I have a trip that ended at 1000 on July 3rd, why does the union think it's a good idea or even ok to add flying till 1pm on July 4th.

So if you want July 4 off why should you have to bid no flying 4 days prior to that day just so u don't get screwed because we gave up July as a 31 day month in the last contract.

I don't think the "union" thinks it is a good idea. The company has had that flexibility as long as I have been here. C2012 actually made it more restrictive for the first time.

It used to be they could add as many days as they wanted. Contract 2012 limited it to one day. Having said that I have never had a rotation extended into another day so it's a rare event. I have had them shortened often.

Anyone know if you change categories do you get to keep your vacation?

The fleet captains have nothing to do with OE. You need to talk to the CLCP.

Well the union must think it's good if still allow a trip to be extended...

I think anything inside you trip calender day foot print should be fair game on a spill trip, but not additional days beyond.

Question still begs... Where is it in the PWA?

Shortened yes never extended until it got extended into the f@@k'n 4th of July.

PS if July was still a 31 day month you or this wouldn't happen. You could still work the 30 & 1 with out this happening.

Call the CLCP for your category. The scheduler works with and for the CLCP. If you get no help (unlikely) then call Ed S. Missing a graduation for an OE is stupid. The planner can swap a couple of pilots around with minimal fuss.

After it's been fixed at a lower level, send an email detailing the scheduler's intransigence to Ed S. The scheduler needs a little more light to shine on his cubicle.
