They didn't sign their last two contracts while we were taking paycuts. From 2009.

Nov. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Southwest Airlines Co.’s pilots approved their first new contract in 15 years, gaining higher pay and job protection as the carrier embarks on marketing agreements with other carriers.

Some Raises
The contract includes at least 3 raises of 2 percent each, for 2007 and 2008 and in 2011. Raises in the other two years covered by the contract are tied to Southwest profits. The accord is retroactive to Aug. 31, 2006, when it became open for amendment under U.S. labor law.

My response was via their complaints on this forum. They were under the impression that we get 3% indefinitely.

Glad to see mainline growth from C2012 has improved your relative seniority.

Thanks for the clarification.

Yep. Late 96 hire. I was the "master" of Line of Time bidding along with moveups (post 07 hires, don't worry about the terms, but we had a pretty good system pre-PBS). That said, while PBS was agreed to as a result of a concession, it has still been a very positive thing at DAL, unlike at other carriers.

In fact I would venture that there would be a lot of upset guys if it was announced that we were abandoning PBS in favor of our earlier system. I would be happy either way.

Maybe you didn't understand my point, or I didn't make it clear.

I never stated that our 2004/05 concessions were "positive." What I meant to state is that the PBS experience at DAL has been a positive one, especially compared to how it has worked out elsewhere. Nothing else.

By the way, what do you fly and where? Until you actually fess up to some real DAL metal, I will just assume that you are the middle-school proxy for a PO'd pilot who doesn't have the time to read these forums and is letting his son post for him.

also known as the natural movement of things, largely unaffected by C2012....

(natural RJ mitigation, good financial management with 717 replacing them, overall good management, Age 65 stagnation ending, normal economic ebb and flow...)

Default Pbs assist

I must be missing something in my bidding, but why would you need to call for bid assistance every month? Maybe that's why I'm on reserve all the time... Or perhaps it's hanging out 6 from the bottom of the category.
Just curious what they offer that I'm not taking advantage of.

This happens every month so why don't we beef it up?

Pure speculation on your part, which conflicts with statements made in SEC filings and investor presentations. Enjoy the growth brought to you by C2012.
