Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Yes, but you have to know the special techniques to use Douglas parts on another Douglas jet. You have to consider the amount the airplane itself is out of production tolerances, then how many shims you need to make the part fit. Consider cutting, or beating the part (including electronics) with a hammer to get acceptable dimensional fit, then shim it back into tolerance.
If it were a Boeing part you would say it is "bent." In Douglas terminology you say it is "pre-loaded." Here's a diagram for those visually inclined from the part of the Douglas assemblage manual that was recovered from the bathroom in Long Beach. It was found wrapped in dryer sheets under a copy of "How to smoke weed and not get caught."

What if that allows the fleas to participate fully in the EU/US open sky's ?
Thru Alitalia? If they want to throw their money down the rat hole, that's fine. But.... the scary thing would be our government's willingness to allow sand fleas to do that flying. I am sure they would be OK with it.
No matter how much I try I cannot get in the backdoor. I keep periodically trying and no luck each and every time.

The PWA limit is derived from section D charts and appears on your rotation as: ACT/MAX. For example. 10:30/13
The max is PWA derived and is extended by 2 hours, no choice. So essentially just add 2 hours to that MAX number. It is there to protect us from sitting around unlimited to be deadheaded somewhere. It INCLUDES 30 min for post flight duties
The FAR117 limit appears on your rotation as: Not Ext/ext/max block. For example: 13/15/9
So you may call it quits at 13 hours report to block in FAR117. It DOES NOT INCLUDE 30 minute post flight. You are done operating the aircraft. However, the company may have you sit around longer to 15 hours, to deadhead somewhere. Both are extendable by up to 2 hours at your option. That is each individual pilot's choice.
We can do all this now.

DALPA, as pilots glance over their schedules just wanted to say thanks for the 30-day months and 7 shortcalls. July schedules are awesome.
