I've found vast amounts of liquor helps.

Pull up last months awards. In the web address line, replace the JUN with JUL (caps matter), then hit enter/send.

The easiest way for a FO to get the awards through the "alternate method" (more politically correct for those who care or get offended) is to click on their respective captain award then in the URL change the DTW330A to a DTW330B and hit enter. If it's available "voila!" If not, you get the dreaded "Ligero" message

That or pull up the CA awards for your category and replace the A with the B.

And that's how you backdoor a B. If you get a ligero error, that means she's not ready yet.

Yes. You and WW are right. That is an easier way to pull up the B's.

Apparently we have bought 10 more MD-90's from EVA and the first one is on its way to the states. Unfortunately, it sounds like they are going to be used for spare parts.

I'm not searching back 50 pages, but is that really what happened? Did he specifically say he was fatigued and unsafe to fly? I thought he said he just didn't want to extend for whatever reason. Its a big difference. The extension is 100% voluntary, and is not completely dependant on fatigued or not fatugued. Fatigue may sometimes be correlated with the extension because fatigue is linked to time as one component, but you can be fatigued 3 hours into your duty day for various reasons. You might not be fatigued, but just don't feel like accepting a voluntary extension.

There is no time limit on when you can be fatigued. Exercising your right under the regulations to not accept an extension may or may not even involve a literal case of fatigue. Yet the pushing, especially for FO's, is still there.

FWIW I'm not blaming ALPA on this, as I thought the recent FAA interpretation coupled with our own TA language fixed this with extreme redundancy. Yet apparently we're still legislating via memo.
