I forgot all about the Topless with the Topas!

I sure wish they'd hurry up and move all that 777 time to DTW, so I'll have a good excuse for the wife!!

I am still hopeful that he is actually doing some research and that he will come on here and explain in detail just why our contract sucks so bad, and whose is so much better that we should immediately call for the heads of all those that brought us this POS. I highly doubt that is the case, but one can hope. As far as I am concerned, until he does, he has zero credibility.
Try this on. If the Volunteers ever reached #1 in a national poll (as unlikely as it is), would you expect them to sit on their asses, march around, and brag about being #1? That's pretty much all you're doing right now.
Or would you expect them to work even harder, and live up to their potential--regardless of whether they're playing UF or East Bumble**** State? To do everything they can to win NOW, because who knows what next season will bring?
I view our situation as being a team that's currently #1 after a handful of games. You want us to be satisfied with that, without finishing the season. I think it's nowhere near our potential. Simply put: you are complacent. I am not. You hit the panic switch. You didn't think there was more money on the table. You got swayed by the sales job of "fleeting opportunities" and the "time value of money."
The attitude of someone demanding to know "what contract would you rather have" in our present circumstances reeks of self-defeat and, frankly, laziness. We've got to take advantage of this NOW...before our circumstances change.
We have enabled a "union" that generally takes the path of least resistance. That falls squarely on our shoulders. Results: the past couple of agreements have been a pathetic joke given the company's success. It's going to be damn hard to boot the entrenched bureaucrats out of there, but it must be done. Leadership. Where is it?
If we want it, we've got to be ready to depart our comfort zone. For goodness' sake, MD doesn't even have the "engagement" juice to keep us out of an unsuitable hotel for two months! Two months! Be honest: that's some weak sauce.
Our complacent mindset (as personified by you) as a pilot group needs changed if we expect to cash in on the company's success (which we in no small part make possible).
"Damn the bad luck honey, I got displaced to the A330! We'll have to either sell a horse or one of the kids."
You ask which contract I would rather have. I tell you that is irrelevant. No one else is as successful as Delta is now. Our contract is inadequate not because of where it does or does not rank within the industry; it's inadequate because we have not reaped the rewards of the company's success even remotely commensurate with the sacrifices by the pilot group when the company foundered.

Thanks T and GJ for the BCN info.
Wilbur, if you could point me in the right direction I may have to "go for a walk" while the kids are taking a nap one day

Unfortunately, there are some nude beaches. And when I say unfortunately, I mean it. Avoid it. No one there you want to see naked.
I took my 17 year old son to Buenos Aires on a trip in December and warned him about the topless sunbathers. His eyes got as big as silver dollars so I told him I was joking about BA and the topless sunbathers were in Nice and BCN. Last week he asked me, "Dad, do you have any, um, trips to Barcelona next month I could join you on?" I'm so proud!!!

Maybe the survey said we didn't want it!

p.s. let's not forget Delta's $2.75 billion stock buyback/dividend program...

You'll be sipping wine (or beer) at the best seats in the house!

And you can always offer to help them wash the sand off...

Heard we are looking for training resources where ever they are available.
....
Moral question: If you are in a hotel with very slow internet, and they left their router on it's default password, do you go in and re-set the password to enjoy unfettered access? ... .
Admin, admin? Really?
Another question since I am on the topic, what is the funniest network name you've seen blasted through the neighborhood? After we had a recurring problem I set mine to "Your dog poops in my yard" and set the power to the maximum supported ... three neighbors commented it was funnier than hell, one neighborr got mad, but at least they keep their dog in their own yard now.
