I meant Tel Aviv. I'm just wondering what happens if we haven't restarted that route weeks or months (or more) from now, but everyone else has especially our "partners" AF/KLM. If we pull pull it down and they just xfer the pax through CDG, does that count as ESK's? |

I don't know enough about the way Delta's arrangement within the JV works, but I have to imagine that they cannot simply require AF or KLM to stop flying certain routes and let Delta pick them up instead.

Question for contract guys.
I received a 4 day green slip over 1 day off, 2 days of reserve, and 1 day off. I know I get 2 comp days because the green slip covered 2 days off. My question is, do I get the entire value of the trip over reserve guarantee or only the trip value that was over my days off. Second question, is reserve guarantee ALV - 2? |

This would be the Hotline for the ATL council. I figured as much, but was curious because I thought I read a while back that someone who worked in "communications" or a similar role was getting paid to work from home. It had me wondering if the Hotline was part of that kind of work and if so would sending it out on a Sunday be a way of getting paid by DALPA for shooting the email.

What freaking difference does it make? Really? If he's working for you or me, he SHOULD be paid, I don't care what day it is. Do you want to fly for free? Or am I missing your point?

The Hotline is written by the Council 44 reps and normally sent out by them on Sunday, on their own time, or while on a layover, with no pay. Most work done by most reps and volunteers is done without compensation.

AF/KLM just like AS can fly where ever and whatever they want. Of course we can't control it. What we can control is what flying can be included in our agreements with them. They add 2 flights above the cap, we force 2 flights to cancel the DL code share.

The difference is that sending an email from home takes a click and could, in some eyes, be considered work. Are there similar work rules of a min day of 5:15 with regard to ALPA work? I would hope not, but since I've read reports that a DALPA member was being paid for "communications" work at home (initials BH I believe) I'm curious if the same could be said for the individual who shoots an email out on a Sunday before sitting back to watch the games that day. Cynical? Maybe, and most likely there is nothing like this taking place. I'm curious is all. Forming an email on a Saturday and getting paid for it, and then sending it out on Sunday to double up on the pay....well, let's say it wouldn't be right IMO. But if there's a DALPA product that has all the information as to who gets paid and for what on the site I'll go look there for my answers. Not holding my breath.
The treasurer and the MC were both asked and it confirmed that there was an idea at a meeting for some work to be done without flying to ATL and paying for hotel/meals... The treasurer and MC BOTH said not a chance, it never even made it to a formal proposal, it was an idea put out at a staff meeting..... nobody got paid to work from home, nor would that ever get approved. |

Isn't it seat kilometers instead of flights? If they added 2 380s, DAL would have to add 4 767s or they would have to reduce the equivalent number of seat miles from the code share. At least that is the way I understood all this.
