By the way u can usually backdoor the ae by typing today's date in the URL of the last award.

They must have forgot that they posted a bid :)

Maybe you should call and remind them to run the awards. :D

Under daily trip coverage, what does it mean if there is no reason code for when a line holder picks up a trip on a future date? Shouldn't there be a W or PS?

Sometimes you can tell from the remarks on the rotation.
Usually its a trip that has been "bought" from the original line holder.
For currency or training or a management pilot wanting to get out of the office, or something like that.

My letter to the entire MEC

I am hoping you will all agree to put together a detailed education piece/update for the pilot group on the harm created by the AF/KLM JV and seek their input. I fully understand it is still running its course until the Spring.

There is a great deal I don't understand, but right now I see 3 options for settlement.

1) pay the harmed individual pilots

2) spread the damages across the entire pilot group (pay increase, improved value of vacation day, etc.)

3) roll the damages into C2015

From what I know today, I am strongly opposed to number 3 and IMO that is the feeling of the pilot group.

Thanks!

Jerry

It was awarded to an active line holding pilot. It is a TOE trip and he is very senior and will probably be pulled. Smells fishy to say the least that he gets to cherry pick this trip out of no where.

Jerry,

I agree that it is high time for an educational piece for the pilot group. However, I don't think there is really any difference between all of your 3 options because they all monetize the scope violation. Don't get me wrong, I agree there is a violation and we are in the cure period and we are past the date in which some/any level of action should have taken place...status quo and all. I agree that in no way shape or form should the solution be monetized as part of c15, only the language should be improved (markedly)...It should be fixed separately and In addition to c15.

I am not proposing a better solution than yours and believe going to a 3 year look back was a rollover by DALPA. Along the same line of why do we have a contract if it's always rollover time.

I like George's proposal from about 1-2 weeks ago and like it more and more as time passes. I cannot understand why, when the company gets contractual relief, DALPA does not negotiate some sort of penalty if the relief period passes that benefits the pilots.

I can't remember the last time an AE award went beyond two business days to post. I can only assume the massive amount of movement and training events generated created a logistical/operational nightmare. That, or the Commodore 64 Delta IT gave CR to run the award crashed and they are having a heck of a time finding parts.
