But methinks Donatelli has some paperwork to generate.

Indeed. Time to see how it will apply to this situation. Maybe some used 777s are headed DALs way?

lulz..... No, I think when all is said and done the only crossovers on the existing fence will be one way.

You know... when half the biggest leaves... they gotta go somewhere. But the productivity crowd will be good with it, right?

Where's that dead horse picture. I know I've got it around here somewhere.

I wouldn't put anything past em, but it looks like they "might" have to send some new hires to the ER again. From my math:

ATL - 36
DTW - 25
LAX 0
MSP - 25
NYC -32
SEA 0
SLC 0

They said that they weren't going to backfill up to a combined 30 spots in DTW & MSP, but it looks like they got -50 there.

So, we look to be down 88 spots system wide after that if that's all the bodies they wanted off the fleet. Just depends on how tight they want to run it I guess.

Wont they have to put out another AE and offer DTW & MSP 7ER slots before they give them to new hires.

Whatever it is, it's quick and real quick. 3 of those whales have 2 months left. DL stockpiled an extra 600 million in cash last Q.

But it looks like tsquare is gonna be right.
It's now conceivable, maybe likely, that no former Delta pilot will ever fly a 747. At least not left seat.

As far as this AE goes for ATL320B they had posted 15 openings, 10 people bid off, and 10 were backfilled. Net gain of 0 positions. Does this mean that the 15 positions are now available as new hire positions?

Time will tell what's going to happen, but I don't consider flying the whale a litmus test. It's a beautiful plane in DAL colors, no doubt. Hopefully (because I have no other power) it will be replaced by the 777. Now if you want to talk about how I got screwed in the merger, that's a hole nutha thing.
